The junior section is organised by Clarry Dunn (our Junior Co-ordinator is usually a Director of the Club and represents junior matters on our Main Board) and is assisted by Bob Griffiths, Liz Thompson, Adam Mitchell and Brian Greenwood in addition to some enthusiastic parents. We are supported by the England Golf Foundation and we are recognised as a Golf Teaching Academy.
We meet every Tuesday evening for practice (Sunday lunchtimes during winter months) with professional tuition from Ross Daniel assistant professional Royal North Devon golf club. We are now recognised as a Golf Access Centre.
We have a full set of Tri Golf kit and of course plenty of golf equipment available for juniors setting out on their golfing journey. Each new junior member is provided with a Logo club jumper and hat at no cost.
All the coaching staff are DBS approved through England Golf and have the relevant documentation. We also have a trained Welfare Officer in place with her contact details and picture displayed on the notice board. We also have completed our safeguarding policy in accordance with England Golf best practice and statutory requirements providing us with full Golf Mark status.
The coaching team are all dedicated golfers who take great pride in our junior achievements. We have local schools that visit regularly us for golf coaching as part of their sports curriculum.
Our cost of membership is:
11 years and under £30 per year.
12 to 14 years £64 per year.
15 to 17 years £108 per year.
We also collect of £2 per junior for each Tuesday evening coaching/playing session to cover the cost of professional tuition.
